Regulatory Cooperation

The U.S.-Canada Regulatory Cooperation Council’s goal is to facilitate closer regulatory cooperation between the United States and Canada and strengthen economic competitiveness by aligning U.S. and Canadian regulatory systems where appropriate, while maintaining high levels of protection for health, safety and the environment.
The U.S.-Mexico High Level Regulatory Cooperation Council, established in May 2010, aims to increase regulatory transparency; provide early warning of regulations with potential bilateral effects; strengthen the analytic basis of regulations; and help make regulations more compatible.
The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Subcommittee on Standards and Conformance was established in 1994 to help reduce the negative effects that differing standards and conformance arrangements have on trade and investment flows in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Consultative Committee on Standards and Quality has endeavored to harmonize national standards in ASEAN with international standards and implement mutual recognition arrangements on conformity assessment to achieve its end-goal of "One Standard, One Test, Accepted Everywhere."

Commercial Dialogues

The U.S.-Argentina Commercial Dialogue was established in October 2016 to strengthen the economic and commercial ties between the two nations by identifying pragmatic steps both governments can take to promote economic prosperity
The U.S.-Brazil Commercial Dialogue was created in 2006 to provide the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, and Foreign Trade (MDIC), a forum through which to work together to grow bilateral trade and investment.
The U.S.-India Strategic and Commercial Dialogue, established in January 2015, is the signature, annual forum for policy discussions between the U.S. Government and the Government of India.
The Transatlantic Economic Council was formed in 2007 to advance transatlantic economic cooperation and is the primary plenary forum for economic dialogue between the United States and the European Union.
