Facilitator Script – Morning Plenary Session

Prepared remarks of Israel Hernandez, Assistant Secretary for Trade Promotion and Director General of the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service

Our last Plenary session of the morning which features an interactive video conference between NASA astronaut Catherine Coleman, children from Atlanta, from Bolivia, and from the rest of the Hemisphere via webcast.

But first, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our next speaker, Dr. Robert Lindberg, the President of the National Institute of Aerospace.

[10:30AM Robert Lindberg speaks.]

Thank you Ms. Coleman. And thank you to the school children and their teachers for your insightful questions.

This concludes our morning plenary session. Our concurrent panel sessions begin immediately. Please proceed to the break-out rooms in the A700 corridor, two levels up. We will have coffee and refreshments in that area. We will return to this same Plenary room for lunch at 12:30.

When you return to this room, we ask that the heads of delegation proceed to their seats at the reserved tables. Also, you will notice, that many of the tables will have signage with country names. At these tables, you will find one representative from the government of that country and, in many cases, a U.S. Senior Commercial Officer from the U.S. Department of Commerce. If you would like to learn more about opportunities in these countries, please seat yourself at those tables.

Otherwise, there is no assigned seating, but we encourage you to find a seat promptly so we can begin our program.
