Kahtoola manufactures a variety of adventure hiking footwear and is based in Flagstaff, Arizona.   When the company first started working with the Commercial Service they had only one international distributor.  The company took advantage of the U.S. Government’s Step Grant program which helped underwrite some of the costs of participating in a U.S. Commercial Service trade show to Europe.

Kahtoola quickly grew from exporting to one country to 14!   Today, exporting represents 25% of Kahtoola’s business.

The company now employs eight staff and largely credits the increased international demand for its products as the reason behind their new hires.
