U.S. Trading Companies
The Commerce Department’s Exporter Database (EDB), a joint project of the International Trade Administration’s Office of Trade and Economic Analysis and the U.S. Census Bureau’s Foreign Trade Division, provides an annual statistical snapshot of the characteristics of U.S. goods exporters.
Available for 2016, the report issued by the Census Bureau contains information on the number of exporters by:
- Size, company type, and industry;
- Export market (for the top 25 U.S. goods markets);
- State.
Available for 2015, the full database contains the number of exporters by:
- Size, company type, and industry;
- Export market (country or select world region);
- State;
- Metropolitan statistical area (MSA) and export market;
- 3-digit ZIP code;
- 5-digit ZIP code and industry.
