Craig Freedman
President & CEO, Freedman Seating Company
Craig Freedman became president of Freedman Seating Company in 2002. After graduating from Northwestern University in 1988 with a BA in Economics, he worked as an analyst with Morgan-Stanley while pursuing his MBA from Harvard University. Upon completion in 1992, Craig returned to Chicago to focus on strategic planning and operations at Freedman Seating and has now been with the company for 23 years. Through his leadership and his commitment to Coordination/Cooperation/Communication,” the company is now over ten times larger and stronger than it was and continues to steadily grow.
Craig is active in the community that surrounds FSC’s headquarters, receiving numerous acknowledgements and resolutions from the city and various organizations. He is especially supportive of initiatives geared towards helping young people train in manufacturing disciplines, participating on advisory committees, and establishing internship and job shadowing programs for area high schools.
Craig also had the honor of serving on the Small Business Regulatory Fairness Board as an advisor to the National Ombudsman.
