Jenny Houston
Executive Vice President, Warwick Mills
Ms. Houston is the Executive Vice President of Warwick Mills, a small business in New Hampshire which manufactures body armor, personal protective equipment, and flexible composites.
Incorporated in 1888, Warwick is one of the few remaining companies that carries on the long standing legacy of the US textile industry. It has adapted its traditional manufacturing capabilities into products that are at the forefront of textile engineering, with its protective materials used in NASA’s Mars landing crash bags in three successful missions. Today, Warwick specializes in research, engineering and manufacturing of high performance composite materials and protective fabrics, as well as custom product manufacturing. Warwick manufactures body armor for the US Army’s PEO Soldier Program for Family of Concealable Body Armor (FoCBA), advanced textile laminates for shelters for Chemical/Biological protection for US Army, Natick Soldier Center, and protective garments and products for law enforcement, industry and recreational customers.
Ms. Houston has 23 years of experience at Warwick Mills, with roles of increasing responsibility in product design, quality management, operations effectiveness, and the management of government contracts. She holds patents for protective garment designs and designed the new adjustable body armor being fielded by our US Military Police.
Ms. Houston has served on a number of boards to advance innovation and competitiveness including serving as Chair for New Hampshire’s statewide committee for the federal Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research, as Chair for New Hampshire Innovation Research Center, and as a member of Green Launching Pad Advisory Council. In February of 2015, Ms. Houston was appointed to serve as a Manufacturing Council by Secretary Penny Pritzker.
Warwick Mills has been awarded an Export Achievement Award by the US Department of Commerce, and the Commissioner’s Award for Innovation Excellence from NH Department of Resources and Economic Development. Warwick has a ISO 9001-2008 quality management system and is ITAR registered. For more information on Warwick, visit warwickmills.com and turtleskin.com websites.
