Raymond W. Yeager holds the position of President and Chief Executive Officer for DMI Companies. Ray joined DMI in 1984 as a Controller and quickly rose through the ranks before being appointed Acting President in 2005, President/CEO in 2006.
Founded in 1978, DMI is a leading manufacturer of HVAC accessories. DMI supplies the commercial, industrial and residential HVAC markets through a vast network of domestic and international distributors.
Shortly after taking the leadership role at DMI, Ray faced the threat of the economic recession. To combat this threat, Ray implemented a sustainable long-term strategy for the company. The process had a goal of not only strengthening DMI’s balance sheet and aligning all of its expenditures, but also maintaining as many employees as possible. Through this process and Ray’s exemplary leadership skills, DMI remained profitable throughout the entire recession.
DMI established a strategic planning committee who assist in developing long-term strategic goals. Guided by strategic objectives, his aggressive approach to sustainable manufacturing, and his recognition and foresight for the future of the industry, Ray has identified opportunities for DMI products and services in the green-building market.
DMI has national standing as an industry innovator that possesses integrity and leadership skills which are testaments to the quality manufacturing and operating procedures employed by DMI Companies.
DMI was named Manufacturer of the Year in Pittsburgh (2008 & 2009), received a Product Innovation Grant by the GBA (2009), was awarded two Advanced Energy Project Awards by the DOE (2010), and won the Green Workplace Challenge (2014).
DMI is devoted to giving back to the community, particularly to children’s charity organizations. Ray believes it is vital to help children because they are our future. On a personal level Ray is deeply involved with his church, and the mentoring program at his Alma mater.
