Departmental Organization Orders
Department Organizational Orders (DOOs) are used to prescribe the basic management structure and organizational arrangements of the Department of Commerce. DOOs are issued for each Secretarial Officer, Departmental Office, and Operating Unit of the Department of Commerce.
DOO 10-3: Prescribes the scope of authority and functions of the position of Under Secretary for International Trade and simply lists the Assistance Secretaries and Deputy Assistant Secretaries. Section 4 covers the legal authorities of ITA as a whole and those authorities are not assigned to units in the DOO 10-3.
DOO 40-1: Prescribes the organization and assignment of functions within the International Trade Administration to the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) level with some legal authorities being designated to a specific DAS.
