Official Finance
Official finance is financing from either US government or multilateral development sources. US government sources include the US Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im), the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), and the Small Business Administration (SBA). Official multi-lateral sources include the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, among others.
Official finance plays an important role in financing projects that private credit and capital markets are unable or unwilling to fund.
