Last year alone, ITA assisted over 28,000 companies from all 50 U.S states, the U.S. territories. The majority were small and medium sized enterprises. In fact, nearly 90% of the companies assisted employed less than 500 employees, and more than half had less than 100 employees.

What is the economic impact of ITA's export assistance?
The impressive results and impact of ITA’s export assistance can be seen most clearly in the aggregate. On average, clients increased their annual revenue in the previous year by 9% ($1.9 million) due to ITA’s assistance, and 9 out of 10 clients anticipate increased revenue in the next three years.
- In total, ITA facilitated $59 billion in U.S. exports and supported an estimated 311,400 American jobs in the 2016 Fiscal Year.
- More than 90% of ITA’s clients successfully export to multiple countries, compared to only 40% of all U.S. exporters
