International Arrivals Processing Times
This chart shows the monthly average processing times measured in minutes across all airport gates, all international flights, and all days in a month. Processing time reflects the amount of time it takes the LAST passenger of a flight to clear customs, starting at the time the plane is blocked. It does NOT reflect the average time across all passengers. Data are shown for the following airports John F Kennedy (JFK), Newark (EWR), Los Angeles (LAX), Honolulu (HNL), Chicago (ORD), Atlanta (ATL), and Miami (MIA). CBP recommends travelers consult the CBP website for relevant information about wait times.
