Jump Design Group
"New York Made, USA Made" Garments
The Jump Design Group, based in New York City, manufactures "Made in the USA" dresses and sportswear. The company sells products to most major department stores, retailers and shopping channels in the U.S.
For the past 12 years, the Jump Design Group has been working with the U.S. Commercial Service to expand their sales into key international markets. Jump Design Group founder Glenn Schlossberg, credits U.S. Commercial Service programs such as the "Gold Key" with helping them to sell "millions of dollars of product into Germany" and Mr. Schlossberg is proud to say that Jump Design currently exports "New York Made, USA Made" garments to China -- which he describes as a "spectacular endeavor!"
Whereas most of their competitors manufacture in Asia, Jump Design has chosen to keep all manufacturing within a 20 mile radius of their headquarters in New York City. Export sales revenue has helped them directly employ 230 Americans in their Design, Production Control, Sales, Finance, and Distribution Departments.
Mr. Schlossberg mentioned that his company often works with the U.S. Commercial Service to identify "great contacts" from around the world and that the "Gold Key really opens doors". In fact, the Jump Design Group is currently working with the U.S. Commercial Service New York City office to set up a new Gold Key program in Sweden.
