SRI International, a client of the San Jose USEAC, does research and development work for private sector and government entities. SRI recently used the U.S. Commercial Service’s Gold Key program and a Single Company Promotion program in Japan.
SRI's Executive Director for Corporate and International Business Development, Robert Pearlstein, was happy to report that as a result of the Single Company Promotion program, SRI developed a number of new commercial opportunities with important Japanese firms as well as with a large Japanese government agency. SRI was so pleased with the results of the Single Company Promotion they decided to pursue additional programs including one in Santiago, Chile. Mr. Pearlstein describes Commercial Service programs as "great vehicles to obtain new visibility" and contacts overseas. He further stated that "exporting is critical for the success of SRI and international business allows SRI to be both more innovative and competitive".
Mr. Pearlstein highly recommends U.S. Commercial Service programs to other U.S. businesses.
