Who is Eligible to Apply?
An MDCP partnership with a group representing a U.S. industry is a great opportunity to help indirectly numerous private companies in an industry. So trade associations, chambers of commerce and other non-profit businesses and organizations are generally eligible to apply for an MDCP award. Such groups represent the business interests of large numbers of firms, or even entire industries. An MDCP Award to such an organization will benefit not just one company, but rather a broad base of U.S. firms or even all U.S. firms in a particular industry. Here is a list of some of the types of organizations most often found to be eligible to apply for an MDCP award.
- Trade associations
- State departments of trade
- Regional associations of trade and economic development
- World Trade Centers
- Chambers of commerce
- Small business development centers
- Non-profit industry organizations
See the Federal Funding Opportunity for a more detailed explanation of eligibility. If you are interested in applying for an MDCP award, request an eligibility determination by following the steps below.
See the Table of Eligible Entities for more information.
