Seeing How Stuff is Sold Abroad
During SEMA’s March 2016 trip to Abu Dhabi, U.S. firms visited specialty auto parts shops and found out directly from shop owners what kinds of products are in demand and how they are displayed and promoted. image: SEMA
Thirty-six U.S. speciality equipment companies participated in the March 2016 business development conference mission to Abu Dhabi. A post-show survey showed them all favorably impressed with the number and quality of buyers they met. And, they all expect to develop business in the next 12 months.
SEMA has also held such events in China and Australia as part of its MDCP project launched in 2014. This project runs through the end of September 2017. As of September 2016, the project had helped 56 U.S. firms to generate 574 export sales to 12 markets totaling $34 million.
